What a gorgeous bird! Wonderful action series, Debbie! My son thinks he saw one in his backyard with the House Sparrows. I've been hoping they would come to our area :-)
Exceptional photographs of a most beautiful bird! I love the flared wings and tail. There have been many Prothonotary Warblers at North Pond this spring. An absolute joy to view your blog, as always!
Thank you everyone, it was my first time seeing one! Really exciting for me. My wonderful husband saw it first behind a stump in the water. It was probably bathing. It hopped out of the pond right in front of us and started preening. It happened moments before it started raining. I hadn't had a chance to make it all the way around the pond yet we had to leave because of the rain. So this sighting really made my day turning a cloudy/rainy day into a sunshiny memorable moment. It is amazing how brilliantly they shine even when coming out of a pond!
Awesome! I love Warbleys! :)
