Belted Kingfishers as such cool birds. I hope to get decent photos of them some day. Your's are great!
super captures. I always have a tough time approaching them too close.
Those are fantastic!!!
Fantastic series! They are great fun to watch.
Great captures, Debbie!! These are such neat birds to see! I like how their heads & beaks are too big for their bodies :-))
Debbie, fabulous photographs! I have never been able to get a good shot of these very cool looking birds. They seem to be quite shy. You captured them beautifully!
Difficult bird to photograph - seldom cooperative. Good choice for a wordless post.
Awwwwwwwwwwww!!!! Lucky you!!! This bird and a pileated woodpecker I have never gotten a clear shot of, nice shots!
I appreciate your views and comments, thank you so much everyone. This bird has intrigued me from the moment I laid eyes on one. My dream capture for this bird is a shot of it catching a fish or sitting pretty with a fish in it's beak ready to eat. I find this bird difficult to photograph as well. So many times it puts quite a distance between you and itself. Today my friend Tracy and I walked back and forth in a zigzag pattern in an attempt to get closer and not scare it away .. it worked!Mary Jo my sister dear, we will get that Pileated Woodpecker AND a Kingfisher with that fish in it's mouth, we will!
wonderful series - love it!
