Fantastic shots, Debbie. What a memorable outing! I went by the "tree" a week later and the birds had fledged. We caught them at the perfect time. Also, the waxwings had fledged, too.
Debbie, these photos are priceless! What a delight seeing mom and dad Nuthatch feed those hungry, agape mouths. Such hard working parents. We have WB Nuthatches all over our property, but I have yet to see any nestlings. Precious little ones. Great job capturing so many beautiful moments.
Thank you for the very nice comments everyone. My arms were VERY tired after this shoot. The cavity was about two stories high I think. Wow Janet, BOTH nests fledged! The Cedar Waxwings seemed sooo tiny, thought they would be there the following week. We were lucky! Love those right time right place moments, especially when shared with friends :)
