Oh, Debbie, OK--now you've made me cry!! I watch the doves at my bird feeder all the time. Some exotic birds will fly in and show off, feed and take off. The mourning doves seem to be the most humble and for me, the most precious. Thank you for sharing this unique series! Beautiful photos!
Thank you everyone. I think it is interesting how you end up capturing certain interactions. I was actually on a ladder in my neighbors yard watching and photographing a Great Horned Owl nest when these two cuties flew on to a branch in my view. I just couldn't help snapping a few shots of them as they preened each other.
